Victoria Plummer is starring in the lead role in the Rogers & Hammerstein’s musical Cinderella, directed by Chance Taylor, and being performed at the Los Angeles Theatre Center in Los Angeles running on March 25th and March 26th.
As a recording artist, songwriter, and dancer from Indianapolis, Victoria Plummer brings all the talents needed to this role. Victoria said, “My varied background and experience have given me the skills to bring a level of both humility and bravado to this role, as the character undergoes a transformation and finds her confidence and voice as the story progresses.”
This version of the Cinderella story focuses on a young lady that no one notices beneath her rags and quiet demeanor. We discover she is opinionated, charismatic, passionate, beautiful and funny, idealistic and hopeful, and ends up courageously challenging the prince to change the policies in his kingdom and helps him discover his true identity. Cinderella is her late father’s daughter, determined to see the good in everyone despite her hardships and suffering. We see her blossom into a confident woman, beautiful and expressive, traditional musical theatre soprano, an elegant dancer with strong partnering skills and great comedic timing.
Victoria Plummer has been training with a vocal coach since the age of seven and by ten years old was performing, and had already recorded songs that received airplay in international markets. Continuing to hone her skills she became a five‐time talent winner for the Miss American Coed competition. After making the move to Los Angeles she booked her very first audition within a week and got the lead in an international touring musical.
Most recently Victoria Plummer was engaged to sing “A Better Tomorrow” which will be featured in the upcoming movie, based on the novella “The Last Christmas Ride.” Victoria is also a member of the Alliance for Women in Media, an organization dedicated to recognizing the achievements of women working in various media fields.
